About me - Jennifer Jones
Hi there! I'm Jennifer Jones, the creative spirit and artist known as The 3rd Flamingo, straight from the vibrant city of Oklahoma City.
Growing up as the third child in a bustling family of eleven, I was always surrounded by chaos and creativity. This lively upbringing not only inspired my pseudonym but also fueled my imagination from a young age. My journey from being a real estate attorney to embracing my true passion for art was driven by a desire to find or create art that resonated with my vibrant imagination.
My artistic exploration began with a simple curiosity about the secret lives of insects. This curiosity blossomed into a broader canvas, where I now use bold, vivid colors and dynamic subjects to bring my visions to life. Whether it's playful ants, delicate butterflies, or majestic flamingos, each piece I create invites you into a whimsical world where fantasy and reality merge.
I am proud to have received various accolades for my art, such as the 'Most Original of Show' at the East Texas Yamboree for my piece 'Rockin’ Lizards'. These awards are a testament to the unique lens through which I view the world.
The playful logo of The 3rd Flamingo holds a special place in my heart, representing each of my siblings. Notably, the third flamingo, which stands upside down to form the 'J' of Jones, symbolizes my unique perspective and creative spirit.

Welcome to a curated showcase of my favorite creations, each with its own unique story and inspiration.
This painting started as a girl's wine and painting night. A couple days later, I took it out and added color and the sign to complete the colorful pumpkin display.
Those who have visited Austin may recognize this car. Several years ago sister and I took a road trip to Austin. We stayed at the Austin Motel. This car sits in front of the motel. I took several pictures and it took years for the idea of how to paint the car. Once the idea began to gel, I started on the painting. As I worked, the idea stalled. The painting was set aside for months. Eventually, I told myself I had to finish the painting. It did not want to be incomplete. I took out the painting
On a trip to the southwest last year, I discovered the beauty of the landscape. Yucca's, cacti and Joshua Trees were everywhere. This reminded me of a wishbone - southwest style.
